1965

Tel Aviv
Yuval Tal was born in a Mediterranean coastal town in Israel

1983

IDF
 As is the norm growing up in Israel, he joined the Israel Defense Forces straight out of high school. During his three year service he learned to analyze complicated situations and excelled in leadership skills. He was subsequently awarded with high honors for his part in saving the lives of civilians as he commanded special operations in an elite combat unit.  

1992

Tel Aviv University
Yuval Tal chose to stay in Israel to study at the Tel Aviv University, where he earned a BSc in mechanical engineering in 1992 and an MSc in biomedical engineering in 1996. While studying at university, he gained on the job training by working as a project manager at Scitex in the financial services sector. Through his work, his studies and a seat on the technology board at ETA, he became established as a professional in the developing e-commerce industry, including online security issues and Internet transactions. When not working or studying, Yuval Tal enjoyed the ideal weather conditions in Israel to engage in all sorts of sports activities and competitions. As he trained in Tel Aviv he had ample opportunity to join in swimming competitions, bicycling races and even marathons. 


1998

Radware
In 1998 Yuval Tal went to work at RADWARE, a publicly held company in Israel, where he headed the business development team. He served as vice president of business development at the company, which manufacturers integration application delivery solutions. He left the company to take charge at R-U-Sure, a firm that offered comparative shopping services, and was its CEO until 1999 at which time he cofounded E4X.

1999

E4X
E4X is a privately held company that provides services created to expedite cross-border payments through the Internet. He was vice president of business development at E4X from the time of its conception until 2005 and through Yuval Tal's leadership, E4X, which was one of the only companies offering these types of online payment solutions, became successful and saw revenues amounting to more than $500 million. By the time that the company changed names to FiftyOne, it had already become one of the leading international e-commerce providers, mainly through its valuable blue-chip accounts. FiftyOne's research and development team remained in Israel, but the international headquarters moved to New York. 


2003

New York
Taking advantage of his time in New York, Yuval Tal enrolled in photography courses in one of the finest design schools, the New School for General Studies and New School of Design Parsons. Parsons has a high reputation in the academic and art world and has been the starting point for many artists, businessmen and scholars. Since that time he has developed a keen interest in photography and has become a skilled field photographer.


2005

Payoneer
2005 was a pivotal year in the professional life of Yuval Tal when he co-founded Payoneer, a private company dealing in e-commerce.  He served as the CEO of Payoneer and helped develop a mass payout system based on a MasterCard® card that is in use throughout the world. The card allows payments to be made simply, safely and directly by companies or individuals using the Payoneer system and also avoids hefty bank fees as well as timely delays. With a staff of more than 100 experts in e-commerce technology, the main headquarters are located in New York with the R&D situated in Yuval Tal's Israeli homeland.


2009

Affiliate Summit Speaker
As an internationally recognized pioneer of e-commerce and digital payout solutions, Yuval Tal was a guest speaker at the 2009 Affiliate Summit in New York City. He delivered informative lectures covering e-commerce, mass payout systems and payment of affiliate agents through MasterCard® cards.


2010

Triathlon 2010
The job title at Payoneer switched in 2010 from CEO to company president. In the sports arena, Yuval Tal joined in the 2010 Triathlon, a vigorous multi-sport event involving, running, bicycling and swimming feats.  Still in great shape, he also took part in a 10-kilometer marathon, the 2010 Nike Night Run, which also took place in the coastal city of Tel Aviv.


2011

Take Charge Summit 2011
As the need for reliable digital payout solutions expands, Yuval Tal grows with the flow by lecturing throughout the world at important industry events. In 2011 he was a guest speaker at the Take Charge Digital Conference Summit. Since it was held at Airport City in Israel, attendees got the added feature of being able to tour in Yuval Tal's home country.
